This guy. Small, quick, and hilarious. Meet the White-breasted Nuthatch. You try to get close to it, only to hear its funny, short “haha” sound and then it flies away.
Yes, this tricky little bird got the last laugh as I scrambled to follow it around the park. Finally, it landed on a tree with decent lighting and proceeded to creep and haha its way up the truck and branches. I did manage to get about eight photos, but only this picture was any good.

Thankfully, the White-breasted Nuthatch is common year round in most of the continental United States so hopefully I’ll run into one again soon.
